Information & Access List

The Access list consists of policy advocates, academics, policy practitioners and others who support openness as a value and as a tool of government accountability, citizen participation, and government transparency. The unmoderated traffic is generally limited to a few posts per week, although there may be more traffic during periods in which the issue is active.

Government Grant Streamlining

The federal government is streamlining its grant process, with a goal of having uniform forms and definitions across all agencies. They are also working to make electronic grant transactions available, from finding a grant opportunity to submitting reports. OMB Watch and the Urban Institute are sponsoring a project that will keep nonprofits up to date on proposed changes in the grants system and provide you with opportunities to comment and get your input to the agencies.
