The Coalition for an Accountable Recovery (CAR), a diverse coalition coordinated by OMB Watch, recently submitted comments on the proposed implementation of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act). If heeded, CAR believes that the comments will help the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) establish a Recovery Act spending tracking system that will provide the level of transparency and accountability in federal spending articulated by President Barack Obama when he signed the act into law.
