Sunstein Officially Nominated
by Matthew Madia, 4/20/2009
The internets are buzzing with the news that President Obama has officially nominated Harvard Law Professor Cass Sunstein to head the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs – the administration’s gatekeeper for all things regulatory.
According to Politico, Obama mentioned Sunstein today (where or when, I do not know):
As one of America’s leading constitutional scholars, Cass Sunstein has distinguished himself in a range of fields, including administrative law and policy, environmental law, and behavioral economics,” Obama said in a statement. “He is uniquely qualified to lead my Administration’s regulatory reform agenda at this crucial stage in our history. Cass is not only a valued advisor, he is a dear friend and I am proud to have him on my team.
As I blogged a few days back, Sunstein’s nomination had stalled after being informally announced more than three months ago.
