Amanda Starbuck: Policy Analyst

Amanda Starbuck is a Policy Analyst, Citizen Health and Safety, working with the Open Government and Regulatory Policy teams. She focuses on a variety of environmental policy issues, including chemical safety and hydraulic fracturing (fracking).

Amanda received her M.A. in Global Environmental Policy from American University, where she studied environmental activism at the local level. She also holds a B.A. in English and Religion from the University of North Dakota. Previously, Amanda served as the Senior Education Fellow for Population Connection, where she developed educational materials focusing on the social and environmental impacts of human population growth. She also served as an Eco-Justice intern for the National Council of Churches and, in the spring of 2013, as an Environmental Policy Intern at the Center for Effective Government.
